The grapes come from old vines, planted in a goblet style before 1936 and with low yields in Villabuena de Álava.

This wine is an icon of the winery and comes from a very special estate of the same name: Finca El Regalo.

Pruning style: Vase-shaped.

Soil: Clay-limestone, pebbles.

Vineyard altitude: 520 meters above sea level.

Climate: Atlantic with Mediterranean influence.

Destemmed, crushed: Destemmed and lightly crushed.

Alcoholic fermentation: In wooden vats.

Malolactic fermentation: 50% in new barrels and 50% in wooden vats. Aging: 20 months.

Type of barrels: 100% French oak.

Age of the barrels: 50% new and 50% second year.

Optimal serving temperature: Between 16 and 18ºC.
