This wine, which will be released in May 2024, is the result of a careful winemaking process that pays homage to the historical prominence of Garnacha in the landscapes of Mount Yerga.

Made from grapes from the La Montesa vineyard, this wine is sourced from the areas of Valtomelloso, Valfrio and Valviejo, located in the municipality of Alfaro, within the Rioja Oriental region.

Soils: Terrains formed by Quaternary carbonate sedimentation, with a varied composition that includes volcanic rock, quartz and sandstone, as well as clayey-ferrous colluvium, silt and sand.

These soils have a petrocalcic horizon that provides freshness and mineral richness to the wine.

Orography and orientation: A gentle 10% slope on the foothills of Mount Yerga, with an east-southeast orientation, which allows for excellent sun exposure.

Altitude: 550 meters above sea level.

Climate: Continental Mediterranean with Atlantic influences, characterized by extreme differences between winter and summer.

Rainfall: 361 mm per year, with an average of 15 cm of snow.

Average annual temperature: 14.61 °C, with minimums of -2.7 °C and maximums of 38.8 °C.

The vineyard, registered in organic farming, is made up of vines with an average age of 36 years and a density of 3,000 vines per hectare.

The production of Finca La Montesa follows a careful process: Fermentation: It uses native yeasts in stainless steel tanks to preserve the authenticity of the grapes.

Aging: Aged for 12 months in oak barrels (85% French and 15% American), with a balanced proportion of new and used barrels to provide complexity and freshness.

Resting: The wine goes through a refined resting process in the bottle before going to market, ensuring its evolution and roundness.
