This wine comes from plots cultivated in bush vines in poor soils with a sandy texture in the Rioja Alta area, their age exceeds 35 years on average and the yield does not exceed 5500 kg/ha.
They are harvested with great care and transported to the winery in small containers.
Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C, prior bleeding and long maceration of three weeks in contact with the skins.
Aged in French and American oak barrels (90%-10%) for 28 months and then bottle-aged for at least 4 years.
The optimal serving temperature for this wine is 18º.
