Kilchoman Sanaig Whisky + Gift Box This whisky was aged in casks that previously held sherry (70%) and bourbon (30%). This single malt is named after Sanaig, the rugged Atlantic coast of the Scottish island of Islay, where it originates.
The oloroso sherries that matured in the barrels left their mark of dried fruits and chocolate which, together with the rich peat smoke, delivers a complex and very smoky whisky.
Presented in a 70 cl bottle.
Sanaig, which owes its name to a cove on Islay's turbulent Atlantic coast, is a Kilchoman container that has matured in sherry and bourbon barrels.
This sherry cask Scotch whisky is matured in a high proportion of oloroso casks, imparting a balance of dried fruits, dark chocolate and peaty smoke rich to the spirit.
The picturesque Kilchoman Distillery is nestled among the traditional buildings of Rockside Farm, on the northwest coast of Islay.
It is recommended to serve it simply with ice.
