Laphroaig Quarker Cask Whisky This whisky is inspired by the small casks that were frequently used for whisky in Scotland during the 19th century, which were often transported across the glens by packhorses.
The aging of Laphroaig Quarker Cask Whisky takes place for approximately five years in ex-boubon casks before being finished in smaller casks (quarter cask) for several months, so it does not require such a long maturation which leaves sweet and smooth notes and a velvety sensation when tasted for the first time, although soon the intense smoky notes so unique to Laphroaig arrive.
Tasting notes: Appearance: Bright, intense gold. Nose: Notes of aging, tropical fruits, banana, coconut, toffee, caramel and vanilla.
Palate: Full-bodied, deep and complex with smoky notes, though slightly sweet.
