Pacharan Etxeko La Navarra is made based on the traditional recipe of the Belasco family but a less sweet mixture is obtained than other pacharanes, this is due to the low percentage of sugar in the anise of the mixture.

The sloes come from Navarrese plantations controlled by the Regulatory Council of Pacharón Navarro and the alcohol comes from beetroot weeds; these two ingredients are macerated with anise and depending on how the fruit evolves with the alcohol (color and flavor) the sugar from the aniseed is added little by little, which is what provides density that balances the astringent characteristic of the fruit, having to filter the resulting mixture to separate impurities.

Sloes are harvested after summer, during the first days of autumn; in order to be selected, they must have a clean, shiny appearance and a bluish-black color.
