Condado de Oriza Roble Red Wine

Pagos del Rey Winery presents Condado de Oriza Roble Red Wine, an excellent example of the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin (Spain), made from 100% Tempranillo grapes.

This wine, known as Tinta del País in the region, comes from carefully selected grapes from vineyards located in the clay and sandy soils around Olmedillo de Roa (Burgos).

To fully enjoy this wine, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 16-17ºC.

The grapes undergo meticulous selection, followed by a 2-day cold maceration period.

This process allows the characteristic aromas and flavors of the Tempranillo grape to be preserved and enhanced.

Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature, between 23 and 25ºC, ensuring maximum varietal expression.

Subsequently, the wine is aged for 6 months in American oak barrels, which gives it its distinctive woody touch and enriches it in structure and complexity.

Finally, the wine is bottled and remains in the bottle for another 6 months, refining its characteristics before being marketed.

The Condado de Oriza Roble 2022 has been awarded the gold medal at the prestigious 2024 Mundus Vini competition, which underlines the quality and care with which this wine is made.
