O Ribera de DueroFinca Villacreces is the emblematic wine of the estate, from which it takes its name.

It is made with a meticulous selection of the best vines from among the 15 vineyard plots that Finca Villacreces treasures.

The vineyard consists of 64 hectares on the Finca Villacreces property. The grape variety of the vineyards is 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot. During aging, it spends 14 months in new fine-grained French oak barrels.

Bodegas Finca Villacreces Villacreces extends over an estate of 110 hectares, 64 of them vineyards, located on a bend of the Duero River, in the heart of the Golden Mile of the Ribera del Duero.

This vineyard is divided into 15 plots of the fine red (tempranillo), cabernet sauvignon and merlot varieties, which are interspersed with a centuries-old pine forest of great environmental and landscape value.

Finca Villacreces thus emerges as a unique vineyard, conditioned by the diversity of soils where it is planted, ranging from extremely sandy areas near the pine trees, to very stony lands where stones from the alluvial deposition of the Duero predominate.

The poor soil naturally guarantees low yields of around 4,000 kg/hectare.

Finca Villacreces is located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level and is subject to an extreme climate, with large temperature fluctuations, long winters and dry summers with low rainfall.

However, the forest surrounding the estate provides a special microclimate that protects the vineyard from the most aggressive climatic circumstances.

At Finca Villacreces, the focus is on quality viticulture, where the vineyard self-regulates, limiting production to less than 2 kilos per vine.

In turn, these vineyards are cultivated following integrated viticulture criteria, where the natural condition of the vine is controlled and preserved to obtain wines with the personality and typicity of Villacreces.
