Ribera del Duero, made from 100% Tempranillo (Tinta del País) grape varieties.

Made using the traditional method of Ribera del Duero, this wine has been aged for 4 months in French oak barrels, which has given it a delicate evolution, providing the result with a subtle toasty note, very well integrated with the fruity character.

It is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature of 14ºC.

Ribera del DueroThe Ribera del Duero is located in the large northern subplateau of the Iberian Peninsula, between Madrid, the Central System, the Cantabrian Mountains and the Montes de León, with 115 kilometers along the banks of the Duero River.

It features soils with horizontal, gently undulating levels, limited by differential erosion, and now converted to a peneplain state.

These vineyards are located at an altitude of between 720 and 1,100 meters and are formed by layers of silty or clayey sands, with alternating layers of limestone and calcareous concretions, on which vines designed to offer the best fruit are rooted.

The climatology of this region falls within a Mediterranean climate whose primary characteristic is continentality, an extreme climate: dry summers, long and rigorous winters, low precipitation (400-500 mm average/year) and a large thermal oscillation (from -20º to 42ºC).

The result of all this is the extraordinary quality of the grapes, which are small in size, have thick skin, and ripen perfectly, slowly and late.

The vineyards extend over 24,157 hectares along the Ribera del Duero, divided into 40,215 plots where work is done to intentionally obtain low and extremely pampered productions.

The harvest is mainly done manually (80%), which is a tradition in the Ribera del Duero, where wineries and winegrowers prioritize the quality of the grapes over the quantity.

The Tempranillo grape, also known in the region as Tinta del País or Tinto Fino, is the most cultivated variety, the one that gives the characteristic color, aroma and body to the red wines of the Ribera del Duero.

To a lesser extent, other varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Garnacha Tinta are also cultivated.

The main authorized white grape variety is Albillo Mayor.
