The Ned Chardonnay white wine is produced in an old riverbed soil, as well as other products from The Ned, this chardonnay benefited from the weather of 2016 helping with the rains to cool awnings and replenish reservoirs.
The key ripening months were February and March with above-average hours of sunshine that marked a warm and largely dry harvest.
Fermentation took place over 9 months in French oak barrels with periodic yeast lees stirring to increase weight, complexity and mouthfeel.
