In the field: From Tempranillo vineyards planted between 450 and 490m altitude on alluvial soils.
The skin of these grapes is usually thin, with less color intensity.
Harvested at the optimal time for making rosé wine.
The vintage: The beginning of 2017 was marked by scarce rainfall in winter and a notable advance in budbreak.
Severe frosts in late April led to a significant reduction in yield.
Sporadic summer rains and ideal conditions in August alleviated water stress and led to an early harvest in September, with small berries in perfect balance, resulting in a very good 2017 vintage.
In the winery: Once destemmed and crushed, the grapes are cold macerated for a few hours.
We bleed the must that the grapes release during this period and ferment it cold.
