This wine captures the unique essence of the vineyards of Rioja Alta, where the winery was born.

Its name, North Wind, is not a coincidence, but an evocation of the natural phenomenon that shapes this exceptional terroir.

On the northern slope of the Sierra de Cantabria, the wind blowing from the Cantabrian Sea becomes the main feature.

As it rises up the mountain, the cold air cools even further and, as it condenses, releases rain that nourishes the vines.

Then, as it descends the southern slope, the air transforms into a warmer, drier current that caresses the grapes, infusing them with a vibrant freshness and intensifying their character.

This unique atmospheric effect creates an ideal environment for Tempranillo, giving Arnegui Viento Norte its freshness, intense aromas and captivating complexity.

Serving Recommendation: To fully enjoy this wine, it is suggested to serve it at a temperature of 14-16ºC.

The maceration and fermentation process is designed to extract the maximum expression of the fruit and color.

Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in second-year barrels, which gives it unique characteristics and a balanced structure.

Awards: The Arnegui Viento Norte 2021 has been awarded 90 points in the Peñín Guide 2025 and has received the Silver in the Brussels World Competition 2024.
