Bodega Garganta Organista presents Buscarla Unicolor Red Wine from Gredos, Ávila (Spain), made from at least 9 grape varieties, including Garnacha tinta, Aragonés, Albillo real, and Tempranillo. "En busca de Unicolor 2021" comes from a vineyard located in San Esteban del Valle, with stunning views of the Cinco Villas Valley.
Its orientation is south-southeast and it is located at an altitude of approximately 870 meters above sea level.
The soil is relatively deep, composed of granitic sands and covered by lush native vegetation.
The vineyard's surroundings are mostly populated by chestnut, walnut and alder trees in the lower areas, while in the higher areas pines, ash trees and pastures predominate.
This vineyard is characterized by its diversity in terms of the composition of the vines, which are between 30 and 80 years old.
Likewise, its distribution is equally complex, with walnut, chestnut and almond trees, accompanied by granite rocks and natural rock formations, which are harmoniously distributed in its plots.
In the production process, a complete destemming was carried out in the winery and 55% of the grapes were crushed.
Fermentation was carried out naturally with native yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Subsequently, the wine was decanted during the cold winter and finally bottled.
After a year of bottle aging, the wine reached its full potential and a total of 1,205 bottles were obtained as a result of this meticulous process.
