Produced in the eastern region of Mendoza, Argentina, specifically in Medrano, Junín and Rivadavia, this red wine offers a fresh, vibrant and authentic interpretation of the Sangiovese grape, which is uncommon in the country.
In this area, the solar intensity is higher than in other wine-growing areas of Mendoza, which favors a perfect ripening of the grapes.
The vineyards are trained on trellises and irrigated superficially by furrows.
Alluvial soils have a surface layer of about 80 cm of silty clay on a base of sand and eroded rock, which allows for good drainage and a frank and direct varietal expression.
The harvest is done manually, in 20 kg boxes, ensuring that the grapes arrive healthy at the winery.
There begins a precise production process: fermentation in 2,000-liter stainless steel tanks, with selected yeasts, and a 20-day post-fermentation maceration, which allows the extraction of soft tannins and intense aromas.
Subsequently, the wine undergoes aging for 6 months in used oak barrels, which adds complexity without overshadowing the fruit, and then 9 months in the bottle, where it is refined and balanced before being released to the market.
The result is an elegant, expressive and very gastronomic red wine, with notes of ripe cherry, raspberry, dried herbs and a subtle earthy background.
On the palate it presents good acidity, soft tannins and a fresh finish, making it an ideal companion for pasta, pizzas, charcuterie boards or white meats.
