Winemaking: Year of drought and slight advance of the harvest.
Optimal ripeness with fresh and fruity wines, with a lower alcohol content than usual.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a cold pre-fermentation maceration.
Total maceration of 18 days.
Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and then aged in the bottle.
Yield: 13 hl/ha in Monastrell, 18 hl/ha in Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, 16 hl/ha in Garnacha Tintorera.
Harvest Date: September 4 to October 8 Altitude: 680 m Soil: Poor in organic matter, stony limestone on the surface over deeper black sand areas.
Age of the vineyards: Monastrell in dry-farmed goblet, vineyard over 30 years old.
Garnacha Tintorera in dry-farmed goblet vines over 10 years old.
10-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon on trellises.
10-year-old Petit Verdot trained on a trellis.
Varieties: Monastrell, Garnacha Tintorera, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
