Oremus Mandolas Furmint White Wine, made from the Furmint grape variety, has been evolving since its first vintage in 2000.
A series of improvements have been made in all its processes, from the vineyard to its release to the market, with the most modern oenology coexisting in perfect harmony with an ancestral tradition.
In the vineyard we have made a specific selection of plots with an appropriate planting density, taking great care of the level of maturity of the grapes, in order to obtain an optimal selection of golden, ripe and healthy bunches.
The effort to select old clones of Furmint (from the Petrács vineyard, over 50 years old) also helps to improve the quality of Mandolás with each harvest.
The hand-selected bunches receive a light pressing and fermentation takes place 20% in new Hungarian oak barrels and 80% in stainless steel tanks.
70% of the wine is aged in Hungarian oak barrels for 3 months with weekly lees stirring ("batonnage") and for another 3 months in complete tranquility.
