To mark the 800th Anniversary of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in 2011, Ponte da Boga decided to produce a limited edition wine as a tribute to such a significant date to accompany the restoration work on the cathedral, which would continue for the next four years and which complements the different architectural styles that influenced the construction of the Compostela temple.
EXPRESIONES from Ponte da Boga, a sequence of limited editions, wines in which Merenzao, Brancellao and Sousón, which complement Mencía, bring even more complexity and harmony for the satisfaction of the fine wine lover.
HISTORICAL EXPRESSION (2010 Harvest)GRAPE VARIETY: 88% Mencía, 6% Menrezao, 4% Sousón and 2% Brancellao.13% vol.
ROMANIC EXPRESSION (2011 Vintage) GRAPE VARIETY: 78% Mencía, 13% Menrezao, 8% Sousón and 1% Brancellao. 13.7% vol. GOTHIC EXPRESSION (2012 Vintage) GRAPE VARIETY: 69% Mencía, 10% Menrezao, 17% Sousón and 4% Brancellao. 13.5% vol.
BAROQUE EXPRESSION (2013 Harvest) GRAPE VARIETY: 70% Mencía, 5% Menrezao, 22% Sousón and 3% Brancellao. 13% vol.
HISTORICAL VINTAGES Destemmed and crushed grapes, fermentation for 10 days with gentle pump-overs, followed by maceration for about 9 days.
Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels and in a steel tank.
