Enrique Mendoza Las Quebradas Red Wine from Bodegas Enrique Mendoza presents this red wine from the D.

Alicante, created from 100% Monastrell grape varieties.
It is made from a single payment located in the "Las Quebradas" area in Villena, situated 500 meters above sea level and with "edafological" (soil) characteristics that make it unique.
It is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
“Las Quebradas” Vineyard The vineyard lives on bedrock and the soils are stony “caliche stone” and poor in organic matter.
It is a traditional vineyard with 1500 plants per hectare, trained in a goblet shape and without any irrigation support.
The fertilizer is made from organic sheep compost.
It is a viticulture in which we work with the concept of zero residue, this means that it has never received herbicides or systemic ones and of course no insecticides, we only work with powdered sulfur, copper, biological control for the moth and a lot of awareness.

In the province of Alicante, the influence of the Mediterranean Sea is very characteristic, whose sea breezes circulate through the mountain corridors that have created the Carrascal de la Font Roja Natural Park and the Protected Landscape of the Sierra del Maigmó, which provide greater freshness to the leaf surface.
In the province there are two areas with very different climates and soils: The Mediterranean coast, whose sea breezes exert a great influence on the vineyards of coastal municipalities.
And another inland area in the Alto Vinalopó region, with altitudes of more than 600 meters above sea level, where sea breezes also have a strong influence through natural mountain corridors.
In this area of the Alicante pre-plateau we find mature vineyards in soils with a high presence of calcareous pebbles, crust, stones and sand.
