This wine is composed of a perfect balance of Garnacha Negra and Cariñena, varieties that reflect the essence of this unique region in Catalonia.
Aged for 9 months in French oak barrels (Cariñena) and 9 months in amphorae (Garnacha Negra).
Clos Alkio, founded in 2020 by Mikko Alkio, a passionate Finnish wine lover, is located near the picturesque village of Gratallops, in the heart of Priorat.
With 25 hectares of vineyards, this winery combines tradition and innovation to produce exceptional wines.
The vineyards of old Garnacha and Cariñena vines, along with other varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, are cultivated with techniques that respect the environment and guarantee the highest quality.
In addition, Clos Alkio has restored an old 13th-century winery at 7 Saperas Street, turning it into a modern production center with the capacity to process up to 25,000 kilos of grapes, using state-of-the-art machinery.
