Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida presents the Solagüen Semi-Sweet White Wine from the Rioja Designation of Origin (Spain), made from the Viura and Tempranillo Blanco grape varieties.
These are Viura and Tempranillo Blanco vines arranged in a goblet shape, with an average age of over 70 years, located at an altitude of 500 meters.
After destemming and crushing the grapes, they are placed in a vat at low temperature and macerated with skins for 24 hours to obtain the aromatic compounds from the skins.
The must is then separated by gravity and decanted, ready to ferment at 12ºC until it reaches the appropriate alcoholic level, at which point the fermentation is stopped by applying cold.
Thus, the wine ends up with a low alcohol content and high residual sugar.
