Bodega Casa Detilio was born as a tribute to our parents, Paquita and Tilio, who instilled in us the spirit of respect, work, friendship and passion.

In the heart of the Ribera del Duero Vallisoletana, on its southwest balcony, lies the estate “Teso la Talda”, an exceptional plot, a hill crossed by steep slopes and beautiful valleys, where the Tempranillo variety reaches its maximum expression and singularity, at 849 meters above sea level, giving rise to a special microclimate.

A massif of sedimentary limestone, deep soils and with 82% calcium carbonates.

Surrounded by pine forest, holm oak, oak and low scrubland made up of thyme and gorse.

They give it a privileged place for nature and wildlife.

11 hectares of our own vineyard, 100% Tempranillo, with a planting density of 3,300 plants/ha, started planting in 2002.

The first vintage of DETILIO 2020, rated as excellent by the Regulatory Council, is an exclusive, signature wine of very intense production, with a lively spirit that seeks the purity, elegance and finesse that the albarizo soils of the moorland provide.

Produced from a single vineyard, the “Teso la Talda”, hand-harvested in early October 2020 and made using integral vinification in 500-liter barrels with daily manual punch-downs, native yeasts, malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak barrels for at least 14 months, to forge the perfection of the purity of the Ribera del Duero, a very high level of self-demand that can only lead to excellence.
