The vineyard is located 970 meters above sea level, on a 2.2-hectare plot with vines over 40 years old, whose production is limited: less than 4,000 kg per hectare.
This low productivity results in grapes with high concentration, perfect for achieving an intense, balanced and profound Malbec.
The soils of this vineyard are formed by a stony subsoil on which layers of sand, silt and clay are laid, which ensures good drainage and an ideal structure for the development of the vine.
Furthermore, the low organic matter content in the soil limits the vigor of the plants, favoring a higher aromatic concentration and uniform ripening.
The vines are trained on their own rootstock and trellises, with surface irrigation by furrow.
The process begins with a manual harvest in 20 kg boxes, followed by a meticulous selection of bunches.
The unground chaff is separated, allowing the grains to pass whole into the stainless steel tank.
A 48-hour pre-fermentation maceration is carried out, followed by 14 days of fermentation and a 30-day post-fermentation maceration, providing structure, smoothness and elegance to the wine.
Then, the wine is aged for 6 months in 3rd, 4th and 5th use French oak barrels, which gives it complexity and roundness without masking the fruit.
The result is an authentic, elegant and balanced Malbec, with notes of black fruits, violets, soft spices and a mineral touch that reflects the Mendoza terroir.
On the palate it is enveloping, with round tannins, good acidity and a long, fresh finish.
