It is made from a selection of grapes from the lower parts of the winery's vineyards, fermented at a controlled temperature in steel tanks for 30 days and aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.

Hito is a wine from Bodega Cepa 21, born from the experience accumulated over many years by the brothers Javier and Jose Moro of Bodegas Emilio Moro, which is one of the most representative and emblematic wineries of Ribera del Duero.

In this new and ambitious project, the Moro brothers seek to combine the construction of a modern, minimalist and functional winery with the wisdom accumulated over generations to produce modern-style wines. In this new venture, they wanted to bring together some of their best friends and share with them the exciting sensations that come with belonging to and experiencing the world of wine firsthand.

The word "HITO" means a stone post, sometimes carved, used to indicate direction or distance on roads or to delimit land.

Hito red wine was created as a young wine to complete the range of a modern and innovative winery.

Made with the winery's youngest vineyards, grafted with Tinto Fino clones from the most emblematic vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro.

The story of the Moro family has been written since 1932 as a project of three generations rooted in the Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of their terroir in order to transmit them in wines with personality.

Currently, Bodegas Emilio Moro owns 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located in the surroundings of Pesquera de Duero, the birthplace of the winery's founder, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero.
