Lagarona Old Vine Red Wine

Lagarona Cepas Viejas Red Wine is one of the great benchmarks of the Toro Designation of Origin, a pure expression of the terroir that combines power, elegance and longevity.

Made with selected grapes from Pago Lagarona, this wine is obtained from old bush vines, with an area of ​​35.5 hectares, where Tinta de Toro (75%) is intertwined with Garnacha (25%), achieving an exceptional balance between structure and freshness.

The manual harvesting in 20 kg boxes allows for careful selection of the bunches, ensuring that only the best grapes reach the winery.

Once received, they undergo strict quality control before alcoholic fermentation in 5,000 liter tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.

Aging is one of the fundamental pillars of this wine.

Lagarona Cepas Viejas spends 16 months in extra-fine grain French oak barrels, where it develops complexity and spicy nuances.

After this phase, the wine is aged in the bottle for more than 24 months, guaranteeing its structure and balance before going to market.

The combination of old vines, meticulous winemaking and long aging in barrel and bottle makes Lagarona Cepas Viejas a wine with great aging potential, ideal for evolving and improving over time.
