M1 MABE Red Wine is a work of art created by the vintner and winemaker Daniel Martínez Benito of Dani MABE Wines, made from selected vineyards in the Ribera del Duero.
This wine is the result of a meticulous combination of 84% Tempranillo and 16% Merlot, which captures the essence of this wine region.
M1 MABE Red Wine Vineyards The vineyards that give rise to M1 MABE are between 15 and 30 years old, located at an altitude of 840-850 meters, which favors the ripening of the grapes in optimal conditions.
The clay loam soils and south-facing slopes provide the perfect terroir for these two varieties.
This wine is a true representation of the richness of the Ribera del Duero landscape.
MABE M1 Red Wine Production The production begins with a manual harvest, ensuring that only the best bunches are selected.
Next, the grapes undergo a pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature, which helps to extract their most aromatic components.
Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in concrete tanks, where aging on fine lees also occurs.
This process adds remarkable complexity to the wine, while the light filtration allows the M1 MABE to maintain its authentic character, even though it may contain natural precipitates.
M1 MABE Red Wine Crianza The aging of M1 MABE is adjusted to the characteristics of the 2023 vintage, with the aim of preserving the unique identity of this wine.
It is carried out in 225-liter barrels of second-use French and American oak, which provides a subtle contribution from the wood, without overpowering the fruity flavors of the wine.
